Accessibility

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the benchmark generally applied to commercial websites in the United States under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We describe the site as partially conformant: most of it meets that standard, and the exceptions we are aware of are listed below rather than left for you to discover.

— a skip link, so keyboard users can jump past the navigation on every page — one main heading per page and a heading structure that follows the visual order — landmark regions, so a screen reader can jump between header, main content and footer — text labels on every form field, with errors announced rather than shown only in colour — visible focus styles on links, buttons and form fields — a language declared on every page — respect for the operating system's reduced-motion setting, where animation is used — a colour palette checked for contrast against the AA thresholds

— Smooth scrolling is applied site-wide. It follows the reduced-motion preference, but if you find it disorienting and your system does not expose that setting, tell us and we will prioritise a manual control. — Case-study and article content is entered through our content management system. Images added there depend on an editor writing good alternative text, and we cannot promise every historical entry is perfect. Tell us about any image that is not described and we will fix it. — The site has not yet been through a formal third-party audit or tested with every combination of assistive technology. Our testing so far is keyboard navigation, automated checks and screen-reader spot checks.

If any part of this site stops you doing something, we want to know — a specific report is far more useful to us than a general one. Email info@nes-agency.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using, if you know it. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and tell you what we intend to do and when. If something is going to take a while to fix, we will offer another way to get you the information or complete the task in the meantime.

This statement is reviewed when the site changes materially and at least annually. The date at the top of the page is the last review. It is based on our own evaluation; where that changes — for example after an external audit — we will update this page.
